AP cabinet reshuffle on April 2
Amaravathi, March 31. (News Pulse) After speculations for several months, finally the muhurtham for Andhra Pradesh State cabinet expansion was set at 9.25 am on April 2 at Amaravathi Secretariat.
Currently Chandrababu Naidu's cabinet consists of 20 ministers. After the expansion the number would increase to 26.
Along with MLC Nara Lokesh and Bhuma Akhila Priya, 10 new faces reportedly will get cabinet berth. Four to five old ministers will be ousted from their posts.
Kala Venkata Rao (Srikakulam) and Sujaya Krishna Rangarao (Vizianagaram) will get the posts while word is out that either Ganta Satyanarayana or Narayana might be in the race to get the post.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had discussed about cabinet expansion with Governor ESL Narasimhan during Ugadi celebrations at Hyderabad. Naidu is busy in cabinet reshuffle by taking all groups into consideration.
Five old ministers will be shown the door to give entry to eight new faces, of which one will be likely from minorities.
Berths were confirmed to Nara Lokesh and Bhuma Akhila Priya under youth quota. Beeda Ravichandra Yadav's name is also doing rounds.
Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy (Nellore), Nakka Anand Babu (Guntur), Amarnath Reddy (Palamaner, Chittoor), Parthasaradhi (Penukonda, Anantapuram) are aspiring for a cabinet birth and MLC Sharif and Kadiri MLA Chand Basha's names are doing rounds under minority quota
